Shreveport Convention Center
The Shreveport Convention Center is the second largest convention center in Louisiana and the largest in the tri-state area known as the Ark-La-Tex. With more than 350,000 square feet of meeting space, the facility accommodates events and occasions of all kinds, from conferences and conventions, to receptions and banquets.
In 2005, Forte and Tablada, Inc., provided land surveying and civil design for the $70 million convention complex. The firm’s design responsibilities included planning the relocation of all utilities and parking areas and a railroad spur for the railway connected to the building. Additional responsibilities included the design of drives, retaining walls, sidewalks, and drainage for the site.
