Iberville Parish was in need of a medical facility once River West Medical Center closed in early 2009 due to late recovery funds following Hurricane Gustav. In 2012, Forte and Tablada, Inc., along with GraceHebert Architects, was selected by the Parish to design the new Iberville Parish Emergency Ambulatory Medical Facility.
The project included site grading, access drives and parking lots, sidewalks, heli-port design, land surveying, accommodations for telecommunication and power service to the building, as well as water, fire, sewer and natural gas services.
This is a 43,000 square foot facility and is operated by Ochsner Health System.
