St. Charles Parish East Regional Library
For this project, Forte and Tablada, Inc. worked with Chenevert Architects, LLC. to provide the civil engineering and land surveying Services for the civil/site design of the new East Regional Library in St. Charles Parish. The scope included designs for subsurface drainage, the layout for a concrete parking lot around the building and a new boulevard driveway, including the curb and gutter drive, as well as plans to extend water, sewer and gas lines to service the facility.
The new subsurface drainage system is comprised of catch basins and piping that tie into a pre-existing drainage ditch on the north side of the property. A new sanitary sewer system pumps sewer water approximately 1,600 feet to East Campus Drive and ties into the St. Charles Parish Sanitary Sewer System, flowing from a new sewer lift station on site. A St. Charles Parish water line has been tapped, which allows a new eight inch water line along the new boulevard to transport water to the site; a backflow preventer has also been installed.
