Forte and Tablada is performing a hydraulic study for restoring the Amite River Basin Weir. The project includes performing detailed flow assessments for the Amite River and the Amite River Diversion Canal and determining ways to restore planned flows. A detailed hydrographic survey of the weir was performed using multi-beam wide swath sounders, sonarmite mounted on shallow water kayaks, and traditional methods to obtain a full profile of the shallow water weir and the surrounding areas.
