Iron Farm Road Drainage Improvements Project consists of approximately 1,900 linear feet of erosion control measures such as articulating matting or other options which will be reviewed during the design process. This project scope consists of design, construction observation, survey, geotechnical analysis, right-of-way/servitude survey, wetland delineation, Corps of Engineers – wetland permit, and a hydraulic impact study. The purpose of the improvements to the existing channel is to mitigate erosion, inefficient drainage, and failures, such as those that occurred during Hurricanes Gustav and Ike.
Forte and Tablada provided services for the CDBG funded project to evaluate drainage project options such as vertical wall channel, paved sloped wall channel, articulated matting, etc. and to report the most cost-effective solution.
