The Veterans Memorial Boulevard Extension Project is an important milestone for the Green Light Plan Program as it was the very first of the program to reach construction completion. The roadway opened to traffic on October 2, 2008. The qualified staff of Forte and Tablada, Inc. provided engineering design services for the lighting and extension of the existing four-lane boulevard curb and gutter roadway 3,720 feet from Harriet Quimby to Blount Road. The overall scope of the project consisted of a design study, a topographic survey, ROW surveys and maps, construction plans, and specifications for extending Veterans Boulevard.
