Forte & Tablada, Inc. provided structural engineering services to Ritter Maher Architects for the renovations and additions to the FPI facility in Fernwood, Mississippi. The firm designed and provided foundation plans and details for the proposed building additions and new buildings—based on column reactions provided by the pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) supplier and signed and sealed by a Mississippi PE—covering approximately 10,000 sf of additions to the Main Building, a new 5,000 sf Paint Storage Building, a 1,000 sf infill slab at the existing Paint Storage Building, and a new 3,200 sf Hydro Resting Building. Services also included construction administration—timely response to RFIs and review of shop drawing submittals for the structure—with site visits provided on a time-and-materials basis.
