Forte and Tablada, Inc. was contracted to provide the structural engineering design, land surveying, and construction management for the development of plans and specifications for a new loading dock facility along the Mississippi River in Port Allen, LA. Major design components included a self-sufficient spud barge equipped with an excavator, hoppers, ramps, control house and generator; other components included a conveyor system, and staging area.
The scope of this project included topographic and boundary surveys, electrical design for power and lighting and structural engineering design for the off loading system.
