Tiger Stadium – Preservation of North End Zone

Forte and Tablada, Inc. was retained by the Tiger Athletic Foundation (TAF) to provide structural engineering and services for remediating the North Endzone of Tiger Stadium.   Numerous locations within the North Endzone experienced concrete spalling.  This lead to corrosion and subsequent volumetric expansion of the reinforcing steel.  Using Infrared Thermography and other non-destructive techniques, Forte & Tablada’s Advanced Measurements Department was able to effectively identify spalls and future spalls in the concrete and gave recommendations for repair techniques for the preservation of Tiger Stadium.  Additionally, Forte & Tablada, Inc. was responsible for the design of fences to replace the upper fences in the North Endzone and provided engineering recommendations, renderings and plans for the updated lighting scheme.  We were also responsible for the construction management and oversight of all phases of this project.  100% of the work was performed in Louisiana.
