Jennifer R. Nicaud, P.E.

Mrs. Nicaud is a licensed professional engineer with a vast range of experience in civil and structural engineering, as well as private sector engineering project management. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. She is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Mrs. Nicaud has experience in transportation projects including road, bridge, and intersection design. She performed bridge ratings for numerous LA bridges and is experienced in Virtis Bridge Rating software. She has spent much of her career designing and managing industrial and petrochemical structural projects. She designed a Wet Flue Gas Desulfurization process scrubber system for a $1.5 billion Tennessee Valley Authority project and performed a differential temperature analysis for expansion of dissimilar materials on the scrubber unit. She has designed numerous shallow and deep foundations for petrochemical industry equipment, buildings, and bulk material storage units.

Mrs. Nicaud designed steel ductwork and ductwork support system for pre-treated corrosive flue gas transport. She worked on a gold and copper mine in Indonesia and provided the design for a crusher building expansion and new conveyor system. She designed, modeled, and developed construction drawings for a 200 foot span pipe bridge routed over railroad tracks for a coal plant.  She has designed a retaining wall structure to support an existing building expansion. She has experience in design of support systems involving rotating machinery and the dynamic loading evaluations.  She also has experience in the design and management of numerous commercial, residential, and institutional developments.  Mrs. Nicaud has designed numerous foundations for buildings consisting of conventionally reinforced concrete slabs, pile supported slabs, and post-tensioned slabs. She has also designed numerous superstructures using steel, concrete, masonry, and timber. She has designed various buildings including hospitals, schools, churches, cafeteria, gymnasium, office buildings, a cultural arts center, and a prison.
