President of BBC Engineering, Inc., A Division of Forte and Tablada, Inc., Robert Basinger, P.E., P.L.S. received the prestigious A.E. Wilder, Jr. Leadership Award at the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Deep South Convention in Destin, Fla.
The A.E. Wilder, Jr. Leadership Award is presented annually for extraordinary contributions of service to the ACEC and is the highest recognition an individual can achieve in that organization. Basinger is a Member-at-Large of the ACEC/L (Louisiana) and has been an active member since the early 1990’s. He has held both the offices of President and National Director from 2000 – 2002.
In 1975, Basinger co-founded the engineering firm BasCo Engineering which was incorporated in 1982 as BBC Engineering. In 2010, Forte and Tablada, Inc. acquired BBC and the company remains a driving force in the Shreveport / Bossier City area.
Basinger’s achievement marks the first time two members of the same company have received the A.E. Wilder, Jr. Leadership Award. Forte and Tablada, Inc. CEO/President Ann Forte Trappey, P.E. was the 2006 recipient and had the honor of presenting Basinger with the award at the convention this year.
