Walker Water System Modeling

In 2017, Forte & Tablada began modeling the City of Walker Municipal Water system, using Bentley’s WaterCAD program. Using past record maps, employee knowledge, and system as-builts from various construction projects our team built a functional water model including a majority of the 498,000-lin. ft. of water lines, all water wells, towers, booster stations and other valves and hydrant locations. The model has since been completed, however through our work with the city we have been maintaining and continuing to improve the water model ever since. We have used the model to help determine necessary system upgrades, address emergency pressure loss situations and helping triage and determine potential failure points and have provided modeling and engineering support to advise future residential development infrastructure.
